Government College was established in 2018-19 by the government of Chhattisgarh in the rural and tribal area of Daanveer bhamashah Dau ramchandra sahu govt college ranitarai  . the institution was functioning from the campus of Government Higher Secondary School after establishment. But now the college has been shifted through its own building since 2018-19. Most of the students are from the remote tribal area of. Though co education institutions, almost 80% of the total students are girls in our college, show the purpose of the college being established has been fulfilled by educating the girl child who can not effort the study outside their block area due to their Economic problems. The institution is currently Hemchand Yadav  Vishwavidyalaya, Surguja Ambikapur, (C.G.), INDIA, 491223 . institution offers undergraduate degree courses in Science Commerce and Arts stream..

The institute came into existence on 2021 in Ranitarai, and is named after Sw.Daau Ramchandra Sahu.Who donated the land to the college. The College is affiliated to Hemchand Yadav University Durg, Offering the degree of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce which provides diversion to the students and offer in total of 270 seats.Within a short span of time the college has established itself not only in the region but also wider. The college offers an encouraging and healthy environment for the students to grow within in affordable fees. While creating and inspiring the new generations for academic innovations and social growth.The students of high calibre are the backbone of the institute. Belonging to SC ST and OBC Minority classes.

The main campus of college is under construction and is presently working in old premises of Government girls school. 

The academic units of Science Commerce and Arts along with library,sports and NSS.

The institute has total of 12 teaching faculties,and also includes non-teaching staff. College premises holds 8 classrooms along with the Principal chamber, Office,E-Classroom, Staff Room,Library Reading Room,NEP Room, IQAC Room and a playground.

College provides the reading room with library for better understanding of the topic to the students with the books that cater the needs of students to grasp knowledge.

NSS wing in the college started in 2022. The students with the motive to serve the society participate whole heartedly in the different activities organised by the wing.

The college continuous to strive towards knowledge providing and building a good citizen to the society.
